Light Dark Affinity
Luminous has two types of skills, Light and Dark. Luminous also has a Light and Dark state that empowers skills of the same type. The state is indicated by a gauge that fills up when using skills of the same type. Before 3rd Job, filling up your gauge will alternate you between states
In 3rd Job, Luminous unlocks the skill Equilibrium Liberation (3rd Job) Equilibrium Liberation that allows you to freely control when to switch over to the other state upon filling your gauge. Upon switching states, you now briefly enter the Equilibrium (Beginner Skill) Equilibrium state and gain the effects of both Light and Dark state and can use Equilibrium skills with no cooldowns
When in Sunfire (Beginner Skill) Light mode, your Light skills deal additional hits per attack and restore some %Max HP
When in Eclipse (Beginner Skill) Dark mode, your Dark skills deal additional hits per attack and cost 0 MP
Light Affinity (1st Job) Dark Affinity (1st Job) Light and Dark Affinity
Based on a choice you make, you can choose between Light or Dark magic to gain a passive %Final Damage boost. If you skip the beginning cutscenes, you will automatically receive Dark Affinity (1st Job) Dark Affinity
In 4th Job, you will gain a special skill called The Crossroads of Destiny (4th Job) The Crossroads of Destiny that allows you to switch between Light and Dark Affinity but has a long cooldown
